Trip to Tagaytay

I recently went on a day-trip, with Cay and my Mom, to Tagaytay, my favorite place for a quick getaway from the rigors of city life. The place is just near enough to Metro Manila for it to be a destination for spontaneous urges for a road trip. Like I said before, I prefer high-altitude areas for travel destinations. This being the summer season, the cooler the place, the more I prefer it.

1.) Josephine Restaurant

This place is so great because the breakfast buffet here is such a bargain. The price is relatively cheap and the food is really excellent. Heck, just have breakfast here and your all set for the whole day. The food they serve here are Filipino breakfast items. Once you finish your meal, relax and enjoy the great view they have from their picturesque grounds of Taal Lake, where the Taal Volcano lies.

2.) People's Park in the Sky

The Park, located at the highest point on Tagaytay, offers a great view of of surrounding provinces and bodies of water. The cool breeze feels good and the view of the architecture of the nearby residential areas is nice.

3.) Tagaytay Picnic Grove

As the name suggests, this place is perfect for picnics with friends and family. The view of Taal Lake is magnificent. Other activities to do here include horseback riding and kite-flying.

4.) Bag of Beans

A relaxing place to enjoy coffee and pastry. It's like Starbucks in a garden. Good place for an afternoon merienda.

5.) Sonya's Garden

The place is one giant spa located in the middle of a giant garden. I just go here for a relaxing stroll in the afternoon.
